This
traffic safety video was commissioned by the
Portland Bureau of Transportation and Animated
Traffic Law. It is designed as an educational
piece to cover three pieces of Oregon pedestrian
crosswalk law and intends to reach speakers of
all languages with its lack of text or voiceover.
The soundtrack is intended to create an entertaining, if not lightly funny undercurrent by placing action-packed film music against the cuteness of the animation. The intro and outro utilize a typewriter as an symbol of the government agency presentation, while the samba infused music it accompanies creates a fun and festive atmosphere.
